Created in the 18th century, this game has been the go-to for anyone who wants to pass the time by playing something with skill and strategy, without all the complication. These days, you can play Solitaire and gain brain power with mobility software right on your phone, meaning that you don’t have to have a deck of cards handy each time boredom strikes.
While the game itself is rather easy to learn, that doesn’t mean that it’s always easy to win. So, with that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of common tips and tricks to help you maximize your potential when playing Solitaire online (android).
Start With the Basics
There are multiple forms of Solitaire, with some having additional rules and objectives. Before you move on to those, start with the most basic game and work your way up. Also, you can be dealt one or three cards at a time, so start with one until you’ve mastered it and then go to three.
Don’t Place Immediately
Obviously, aces and deuces can be played at the top (the foundation) as soon as possible as you can’t put anything below them. Nevertheless, you don’t want to get too ahead of yourself by placing higher numbers in the foundation before you’re ready. If you’ve ever put a card up that you could have used to pull a card from the deck, you know how frustrating it can be.
Move the Kings Sparingly
If you draw a King from a stack and have an open spot, you might think that it’s wise to move it immediately. However, you will want to wait to see what works best for you overall. For example, moving a red king when a black would help you more is obviously not the best strategy.
In the end, when you play Solitaire free, be sure to take your time and don’t rush into anything. Sure, you can play endless games over and over again, but why not try to win as much as possible by avoiding mistakes?
